HIM (His Infernal Majesty) is a Grammy Award-nominated rock band from Finland formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko Lindström, and bassist Mikko Paananen. They have released six full length albums to date. As of 2008, they are the first and only Finnish band to go Gold in the United States. Members: Ville Valo - Mikko Lindström - Mikko Paananen - Janne "Burton" Puurtinen - Mika "Gas" Karppinen.
